Nature Photography Contest
Wild Amelia is proud to present the 4th annual Wild Amelia Photography Contest. The goal of this contest is to recognize outstanding photography that celebrates the natural landscapes, flora and fauna that are found on Amelia Island.
Please read the following carefully: The subject matter for contest entries must contain plants and animals found on Amelia Island, however, the photograph may be taken anywhere as long as there are no identifiable landmarks to other regions. For example, a photograph of salt marsh areas is permissible but a photograph of salt marsh areas with the St. Augustine Lighthouse in the image is not permissible. A photograph of a passion flower is acceptable but a photograph of a coconut tree is not admissible. Remember when selecting your contest entries, you can enter a Great Blue Heron regardless of where you took the picture because Great Blue Herons can be found on Amelia Island. Do not enter a picture of a Lion taken at the Jacksonville Zoo.

The winning images may be displayed in the 2013 Wild Amelia Brochure and other promotional material as well as featured in a 2013 Wild Amelia Photo Contest Winners Calendar (photo credits will be given). Additionally, all winning entries will be on display at Fort Clinch Visitor Center from July 1, 2012 through August 1, 2012. Photographers of winning entries that wish to have their images displayed at Fort Clinch Visitor Center will be required to produce a 16x20 framed photograph with a wire attached ready for hanging.

NOTE: The process to determine the best photos is explained below:
1) Names and all identifying marks were removed from the photos
2) A panel of three judges scored each photo by category (Adult Beginner, Adult Advanced, Children under 10, Children 10-17)
3) All scores were compiled to determine winners
