Nature Photography Contest
NOTE: Since this is a photographic contest that celebrates the natural habitats found in and around Amelia Island, the subject matter for contest entries must contain flora and fauna found on Amelia Island. The photograph may be taken anywhere as long as there are no identifiable landmarks to other regions. For example, a photograph of salt marsh areas is permissible but a photograph of salt marsh areas with the St. Augustine Lighthouse in the image is not permissible. A photograph of a passion flower is acceptable but a photograph of a coconut tree is not admissible.

The winning images will be displayed in the 2011 Wild Amelia Brochure as well as featured in a 2011 Wild Amelia Photo Contest Winners Calendar. Additionally, all winning entries will be on display at Fort Clinch Visitor Center from July 1, 2010 through August 1, 2010. Photographers of winning entries that wish to have their images displayed at Fort Clinch Visitor Center will be required to produce a 16x20 framed photograph with a wire attached ready for hanging.

1) Names and all identifying marks were removed from the photos
2) A panel of three judges scored each photo by category (Adult Beginner, Adult Advanced, Children under 10, Children 10-17)
3) All scores were compiled to determine winners
